The person who came up with the idea of a day/sofa bed was a bit of a genius. Sofa/Day beds can be used to turn a spare bedroom into a sitting room, the kid's TV room into a guest room or even to turn the attic into an all encompassing self contained apartment. When looking at sofa beds it is important to consider how often they will be used. Any sofa/Day bed is suitable for occasional use, but specific models are built with heavy duty frames and more substantial mattresses to allow them to be used as an every night bed.
